When you roll over and kiss your spouse, remember there’s a soldier who wishes they could kiss theirs.
When you get home from a long day at work and can relax and talk it over with your spouse, there is a soldier that wishes they could be home with their spouse.
When you feel your child’s arms around your neck, there’s a soldier who wishes they could feel their child’s arms around their neck.
When you hear your child say, “I’m so glad to see you,” there is a soldier who wishes they could hear their child say those words.
When you tickle your baby and listen to them giggle, remember there is a soldier who wishes they could make their child giggle.
When you watch your children play, there is a soldier who wishes they could watch their child play.
When you hear your baby say their first words, there’s a soldier that missed hearing their child’s first words.
When you celebrate your child’s birthday, there’s a soldier that missed their child’s birthday.
When you listen to your child’s bedtime prayers, there’s a soldier who wishes they could hear their child’s prayers.
As you share many precious moments and memories with your family, remember that there is a soldier who is sacrificing having these moments with their family.
Please remember, remember and pray.
Pray for them physically, that the Lord will keep them safe. They live in constant danger.
Pray for them emotionally. When they have a hard day at work, they can’t come home and hug their spouse and play with their children and relax before the next day.
And last, but definitely not least, pray for them spiritually. They don’t have a church they get to go to recoup and refresh for the week. Some of them may not even know the Lord and the ones that do are surrounded by those who don’t. They don’t have their church family there to help them get ready to face the week out in the world.
Your prayers are coveted so much! Thank you!
